Blastin' and Castin' in the Texas Outdoors

We havea lot of good times, the road was a drug when we started way back, our wheels rolled on steady, now its forgetting the race to find an open space and leaving that city far behind We’ll be up in the morning before the sun, since anything beats working on the job and everyone knows the early worm gets the fish. The world is your oyster, let the high times carry the low, walk where the sun is shining, lay your burdens down and think to yourself that it sure feels good feeling good again.

Otters in Texas?

So there we were checking traps out at the pig hole (like we do). I have been gone for about 10 days, so we expected to come back to empty or very stinky beaver traps.
What we did not expect was to have an otter. No, it is not piebald, it's just bald where the hair sluffed off.

Question -- Who has killed or seen an otter in Texas?

I have two friends who have either killed one or had friends that killed one in the last few months.

Are we being over-run? It doesn't really matter. Chris and I already declared war.

Blood Brothers -- 1
Otters -- 0

Too bad you didn't find them sooner. Don't they have the best pelts of other N. American animals?

I've never heard any first hand accounts of otter sightings in TX.
