Blastin' and Castin' in the Texas Outdoors

We havea lot of good times, the road was a drug when we started way back, our wheels rolled on steady, now its forgetting the race to find an open space and leaving that city far behind We’ll be up in the morning before the sun, since anything beats working on the job and everyone knows the early worm gets the fish. The world is your oyster, let the high times carry the low, walk where the sun is shining, lay your burdens down and think to yourself that it sure feels good feeling good again.

Direct from Zeisloft himself.....

4,000 watts of diesel generated illumination sitting 25 ft above my rapidly
diminishing bottle of whiskey (30 ft above the sand)on a moonless night...7 and
one half acre of surf light up like Christmas at the Grizwald’s...surf temp
peaking at 75 degree on the F scale...and “charks” blinded by the light,
relegated to following their nose...writhing in the surf all hopped up on the
sent of 10 gal of cow blood, a pile of panhandle prairie dogs for bait...and me,
with that shit eating grin on my face that I tend to get when thrust into such a
situation...who’s in?

I might be mis-informed but Isn't Freeport out of the way from either College Station or Houston to Matagorda/Sargent.

Are recommending a change in destination?

When the conditions are good people have caught a lot of trout using lights in the cut. I have never seen anybody use them successfully but Wayne has caught a limit using lights at the cut.

If conditions at the cut are bad the lights might work well in the intracoastal.

I am looking forward to doing some blood chumming. I hope we get an outgoing tide.
