Blastin' and Castin' in the Texas Outdoors

We havea lot of good times, the road was a drug when we started way back, our wheels rolled on steady, now its forgetting the race to find an open space and leaving that city far behind We’ll be up in the morning before the sun, since anything beats working on the job and everyone knows the early worm gets the fish. The world is your oyster, let the high times carry the low, walk where the sun is shining, lay your burdens down and think to yourself that it sure feels good feeling good again.

New Fishing Gear

I've been wanting a kayak for a really long time but I had no place to keep one until now. We moved into a house a couple of weeks ago and as soon as we finished unpacking and getting the house set up I went and picked this up.

It is a Tarpon 140 (14') made by Wilderness Systems. This model should be great for both the bays and surf. You guys need to buy some reels that hold a little more line because I plan on using the kayak to take the shark baits out farther than we can cast.

I took the boat out to Lake Houston for its maiden voyage and took this picture. I can't wait to get it salty!

You sure didn't take long to go get a kayak.

Ah, springtime when all the young men's minds turn to thoughts of .....fishing

I went to the pond at the pig hole and tossed lures at bass for about an hour yesterday.
